Knitting Kneedle

If I ever was to open a knitting shop, I think I would name it the "Knitting Kneedle". Though I think it's a clever play on words, I'm sure someone has thought of this long before me and there may be many "Knitting Kneedles" out there. And why is there a "k" in "knitting"? Or "knife" for that matter? Why is it that the English language has adopted the silent "k" for some words?

Anyways, one of my best friends, Betsy, is a tried and true knitter. People who knit, or crochet, etc, simply amaze me. I just don't understand how you can not only make a shape out of the yarn to make clothing, but how do you make designs and add different colors? Yesterday I received the promised hat and scarf combo from Bets. I LOVE IT BETSY!! The colors are perfect for me, and with the way our winter has been going, I'm sure there will still be time to use it this year.

Alexa loved it as well, and so we decided to model it. Dan graciously took the pictures, and commented, "Oh my word, Alexa is so you," as you can see from our poses.

So, THANK YOU BETS! I love you very much, and am honored to have a Janine Beef original.

I am currently working on my first sewing project. A blog to follow with the results...

Whoever made this scarf was incredibly talented!!! :) It looks GREAT on you, and I'm so happy the hat fit - they are really hard to make when you don't have the person here to try it on for you as you go, so I tried it on but wasn't sure how our head sizes compared. I'm so happy you like them!!

Nutty. I have just decided that my next post will be about knitting woes- so somehow we're in tandem. Just thought you'd like to know. l,Winnie
